Our Core Beliefs
Without compromise, we stand firm on the following
GOD
We Believe in God the Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth, the Covenant God of Israel, from Whom and to Whom are all things. God's name in Hebrew is Yehovah (usually translated as the title LORD), and means He 'was, is, & will be.'
REDEMPTION
We believe that Yehovah, Who spoke in sundry times and in divers manners in time past to the fathers through the Prophets, Who is beyond the reckoning of time, more wonderful in His perfection than all we can ever know or desire, promised to redeem the world from sin and death, and fill it with the glory of His light, in and through His Anointed, Who would be a light to lighten the nations and the glory of His people Israel.
PROMISE
We believe that in the fullness of time God fulfilled His promise, and sent forth His Son, the Word of God, Jesus (Yeshua), Who was born, by the power of the Holy Spirit, of the Virgin Mary, of the seed of David, and in Him the Word was made Flesh and dwelt among us as the Son of Man, full of grace and truth.
JESUS
We believe that Jesus is the Messiah, who was prophesied to come from ages past, and is in very truth the Shekinah, the brightness of the Father’s glory and the very impress of His Person. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life - the only Mediator between God and man. Jesus' name in Hebrew is Yeshua, which means 'salvation.'
RECONCILIATION
We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification; and that by His Life, Death on the Cross, and glorious Resurrection, He has accomplished our reconciliation with the Father.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that when He ascended into Heaven, the Messiah did not leave us comfortless, but, according to His promise, has sent us the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, proceeding from the Father through the Son, to be with us, to give us the assurance of forgiveness of sin, an ever clearer understanding of Himself, and to lead us into the fullness of truth, which is the more abundant life.
RESURRECTION
We believe the 'good news' (i.e. gospel) is the promise of an inheritance to Abraham, that through his seed – Jesus – all who come to God through faith and repentance will be resurrected from the dead, and those who love Him will inherit the Kingdom of God with great glory! The Holy Spirit, Who raised up Jesus (Yeshua) from the dead, and Who beareth witness with our spirits that we are sons of God, will also quicken our mortal bodies in the Resurrection.
CHURCH
We believe that the Church (Assembly of the Messiah) is the family of God in Heaven and on Earth, the Sanctuary of the redeemed, comprising both Israel and the nations, in which God dwells.
ISRAEL
We believe that Yehovah did not replace or cast off His ancient people, but that there is ever in the midst of them a remnant elected by Grace, and that He will reunite the House of Israel (Ephraim) and the House of Judah with a new covenant (Jeremiah 31:31). It was to Israel that the Adoption, the Glory, the Covenants, The Torah and the Promises were given (Romans 9:3-5).
MESSIANIC
We believe that Christianity was originally a 'sect within Judaism' (Acts 24:5; 28:22), before the two forked in the following centuries, and that our faith is best understood in this original Hebraic setting. All non-Israelites partake in the promises of God by faith, for it is by faith the offer is given, "to whosoever will" (John 3:16).
WITNESS
We believe that it is the will of God, Who has graciously called us into covenant with Him, that we should strive to be His witnesses among all people, regardless of ethnicity, gender, and age, until His coming again in Glory.
FAMILY
We believe God is the originator of the family - a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. We believe the purpose of the family is to glorify and honor God by forming the spiritual, emotional, physical, and economic foundation for the children, church, and any society.
